Friends of Outreach
The Tayside Wheelchair Outreach Project are always looking for fundraising ideas and events as well as donations to allow them to continue providing assistance to those who require it. The project often receives requests for assistance in purchasing a powered wheelchair or scooter. If the request meets the criteria, the project uses the money raised to fulfil the request, allowing someone to become mobile.
There are many things that can be done to help the project to continue their work. A few are listed below.
- Sponsored Events - A cyclathon, walk or even a sponsored silence.
- Coffee Mornings - A chance to sit and relax, make new friends and help raise funds.
- Fun Days - A day of Crazy Golf or a sports day where anyone can join in.
- Car Boot Sales - Local car boot sales provide an easy way to set up a cake stall or to sell those unwanted gifts.
- Quizzes - Hold a quiz to test the mind.
